DELIVERY/SHIPPING INFORMATION
DONATING STUFFED ANIMALS
Loving Hug, Inc. is a great place to donate stuffed
animals to! We call them “hugs” and send them to the children living in
war zones, refugee and IDP (internally displaced persons) camps,
orphanages and hospitals/medical facilities around the world; to give
them some emotional comfort through a soft, cuddly ‘portable hug’. Your
stuffed animal donations for emergencies are also sent to children who
are victims of natural disasters, such as the 2009 flood in Manila,
Philippines, and the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
Please send only the very
best of your new or very gently used, cuddly-soft and appropriate
stuffed animals for these precious children in need, who deserve our
very best!

HUG DONATION GUIDELINES
|
1)
|
New or VERY gently used,
and in excellent, unsoiled condition;
|
|
2)
|
Must be
soft and cuddly– not stiff;
|
|
3)
|
Not
smaller than 8-inches, nor bigger than 24-inches (they can
be a little taller if they are
really squishy-soft, and can pack down;
|
|
4)
|
No Beanie Babies (too small a size);
|
|
5)
|
No battery-operated stuffed animals (unable to ship
to foreign countries);
|
|
6)
|
No
cartoon TV or movie characters (i.e.- Sponge Bob, Sesame
Street characters, action
characters, etc.). Exceptions: Winnie
the Pooh, Eeyore, Snoopy, Mickey & Minnie
Mouse, etc.;

|
7)
|
No
sharks, crustaceans, bugs, or reptiles (Hugs are for
emotional comforting purposes);
|
|
8)
|
No holiday-styled stuffed animals, unless the
holiday-styled clothing on them is
removed.
|
|
Children receiving stuffed animal “Hugs” from us
receive only the choicest of the very best.
They are living in the most difficult situations imaginable and deserve the best
we can provide. Please keep that in mind when choosing stuffed animals to donate
and pay for shipping to us.
If you will be shipping your donation of “Hugs”
to us, please include a note inside the
box with your name and email address IF you wish to receive a donation receipt
for tax
purposes!
Donation Receipts for tax purposes for stuffed
animals being shipped to Loving Hugs, Inc. will be provided ONLY IF a note is
included inside the box of stuffed animals you are shipping. Please provide us
with your name and email address. Your information will only be used for the
purpose of sending you a donation receipt. If you do not include this
information in the box, we will assume that you do not want a donation receipt.

IDEAS!! Support Loving Hugs, Inc. by organizing and promoting a
Hugs Drive (stuffed animal donation drive) through your groups of friends,
churches, neighbors, family members, schools, business offices, sports teams,
Scouts– you name it! Collect and donate brand new or very gently used stuffed
animals for children who could use our hugs! Most children feel comforted when
they receive stuffed animals in emergencies, or are living in stressful
situations. That stuffed animal that you give, can become a child’s friend and
comfort provider.

Heritage Cleaners generously donates the
cleaning of all of the donated, gently
used and appropriate stuffed animals for
Loving Hugs, Inc., before we send them
to the children in need around the
world. They also allow all of their
locations in and around the Denver,
Colorado area to be available as
drop-off locations for any individual
wishing to donate stuffed animals to our

SHIPPING INFORMATION FOR OUT
OF STATE HUGS DONATIONS
Donors may ship appropriate stuffed animals to us via the
shipping company of their choice. To help save money, we
offer donors the ability to ship contributions of stuffed
animals to us by accessing our UPS account and thereby take
advantage of any volume rate reduction that may apply. To
take advantage of this service, please read and follow the
instructions noted below our addresses.

The information asked for in Step 1 below, required by
UPS, allows us to activate limited access for you to the Loving Hugs, Inc.
shipping account and any volume discount rates that may apply. After submitting
the requested information, we will instruct UPS to set up access for you.
You will receive two
emails from UPS. One will contain your login name and the other will provide you
a temporary password. Please note that login names and passwords are case
sensitive. The UPS system allows donors to use their credit cards for payment.
No credit card information provided to UPS is shared with Loving Hugs, Inc.
After completing Step 1,
please click on Step 2 and print the complete easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide
to using the UPS online shipping system called CampusShip. Included with the
guide are money saving tips for packing your donation of stuffed animals and a
copy of the Hug Donation Guidelines noted above.
